I just realized that today is not a good day. I'd thought it was, and all of a sudden it wasn't. Nothing happened to make it not a good day. It just ... wasn't, and I abruptly understood that it hadn't been all day, but that I hadn't noticed.

Perhaps a pot of tea ....
