Harlan and Company

Because I'm bad at updating, and at taking pictures, it's been a bit since ljgeoff  asked for shots of Harlan and his family during their recent visit. It hasn't helped that I'm neck deep in NaNoWriMo, with most of the time in front of my keyboard split between that and tuning in to MSNBC pre- and post-midterms. 

I do, however, get around to things. So here are some pictures. Only a few; I know that, while I consider Harlan one of nature's more photogenic toddlers, and indeed one of its most delightful ones, those who aren't his Nana, Grampa Bob or his parents can be forgiven for not so adjudging him.

He is big; Andy mentioned that he'd grown out of thing during the visit that had fit him just the week before. It can be a little amazing (and a tad horrifying unless you haunt Goodwill stores for a lot of baby/toddler clothes), especially between, say, birth and, uh, puberty. I'm guessing you're finding this out. Heh.

Absolutely. I figure it's a win-win, since when he was a young'un, Harlan's dad was just as cute. I really should hunt up some ancient pics of Dad as Toddler. And Emily makes up the trifecta, because she's adorable.

Indeed. I'm looking forward to the next time they visit. He will be very different, I know that; growing up is an adventure for kids, and the people who love them.

Harlan's incredibly photogenic. Considering that I took these with my phone, I'm grateful that he's so cheerful. His dad's a photographer, and he takes zillions of Harlan shots. Heh.

I'm glad you liked offspring, offspring's wife, and offspring's offspring. Heh.

The shots were indeed taken in our dining room, with my great grandmother's china cabinet and writing desk, and Bob's parents' dining table set as background.
