It's still a little funky, though; I refreshed my main page, and your comment didn't show up until I accessed the specific post. Ah, well — I'm not going to quibble. It's just good to have it back (even if, as you say, it's "for the time being.")

Savor it while we can, eh? It's the first time since Monday for me.

Once this last little glitch (of not seeing any comments listed underneath posts on my main page, despite comments being there) I'll be ready to declare victory. (Yeah, like I had anything to do with it ....)

Heh. I'm thinking that I might mirror my LJ posts on DW from now on (*thinks to self, 'You'd better learn how'*) just to be sure I've got a smooth transition if LJ goes down again. Or maybe I should say "when," given the DDoS history thus far. Sadly, I suspect it'll happen again.

I'll enjoy it while it lasts. The nice folks at Dreamwidth have a good space, and I decided to update my account there over the last couple of days, did whatever DW's version of 'friending' was when I saw familiar names ... but this is where I'm most comfortable.

I did ~~friend~~, uh, ~~access~~ ... er, subscribe to you over on DW. The system is confusing. We fear change.

It's a little frightening how many withdrawal symptoms I experienced without LJ. I hadn't realized how much I depend on LJ for fannish communication (or general communication) with friends.

I know! I was so sad that it crashed because LJ is my main Doctor Who outlet, and because there are so many people here I don't talk to anywhere else.

Oh, aye. It brings us the world, but it's a pretty stringent gatekeeper to that world when the friends, we've learned to love via LJ are, so many times, thousands of physical miles away from us.

Indeed. I've met so many people I wouldn't get to be friends with otherwise, but when LJ is down the connection is much harder to make.

Which, it seems to be glitching again. I hope it's just a momentary thing as they finish patching it up.

Still here, but so saddened by this latest giant step in the decline of LJ that I'm finally considering upgrading my forced-into-it-by-RL-friends-who-defected freebie account at that other blogsite, the name of which I detest so much that I'll only refer to it here by the initials it shares with our favourite Gallifreyan's programme o_0

It used to be that no other blogsite out there was within a giant's roar of being as good as LJ. Unfortunately, LJ itself is now no longer within a giant's roar of being as good as LJ, as it were. I weep.
