The Pending Doctor
     So.
Matt Smith. He's cheeky. He knows how to run to trouble, and away from big blowy-up flaming steam-punk trouble. With Billie Piper,* no less.
     In the words of Violet?
     I think I Gotta Date.

* Ruby In the Smoke, Part Deux, for those who are interested.

I love Shadow in the North. :) And I am cautiously optimistic. He's very good in those movies. But his hair! That's some insane hair.

I know! And I do love David Tennant's hair. A lot. But I sort of feel like Eleven should be different! And that's some vaguely similar hair there. And Moffat apparently loves it. I think it doesn't help that he sort of reminds me of Tennant in face shape and body type. The distinct difference from one doctor to another in the past makes me feel, a little, like they're too similar.

Thanks! :)

It was your birthday?! Well, happy birthday dollface!

I'm getting good vibes for this guy. I like the way he waggles his fingers when searching for a word and I like his weird face shape. He's somehow already alienish.

[identity profile] monkey-pants7.livejournal.com 2009-01-05 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
It was, yesterday! Thanks!

I agree. He is rather alienish! (which seriously, that hair helps with.) I feel good about this. I'm glad it's not someone super well known. I haven't stopped in at TWoP yet--is it insane?

Apparently people are taking it more in stride than elsewhere on the internets. cutecouple posted this which made me laugh:

I guess you can pretend that the package you should be receiving this week is a birthday present. Yeah...I meant to do that...

Heeeeee "RPattz would have been better." That's awesome. Glad people aren't totally freaking out. I keep meaning to get back to that whole TWoP thing and then getting super busy or just crapping out. I suck.

Oooh package! Awesome. I have something to send to you too, I should get on that.

Twilight snark ends up in the oddest placest these days. It's fantastic.

(We've totally hijacked poor kaffyr's LJ now. I think I owe you a proper email response?)

Hee. That's kind of hilarious. (and also probably good for you.) He's Cedric in Goblet of Fire, if that helps!

[identity profile] monkey-pants7.livejournal.com 2009-01-06 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
Oh good. I was slightly nervous about an explosion that I didn't really want to read through.

[identity profile] monkey-pants7.livejournal.com 2009-01-06 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I think you're right there. I haven't really seen enough clear pictures or video to judge well based on what I've seen recently--and while I remember him from the Ruby in the Smoke movies, I don't have his face memorized.

Ooh just noticed! That icon is great. I need some classic DW icons. Of course, I need a paid account for that and I don't know if I care that much.

[identity profile] belsum.livejournal.com 2009-01-05 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I definitely don't care that much. I just keep deleting one and adding another. It's more fun (for me) to keep it in flux.

[identity profile] monkey-pants7.livejournal.com 2009-01-06 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
I really need to give up on a few of mine that I never use and get more in. I probably don't need so many Ten icons either. (but they're so cuuuute!)

True. Thanks, I might!
