I can't quite see the resemblance, because Smith's face, whilst alien, has rounder promontories, if you will. His lips are much less thin, his nose has a little more roundness, his eyes are not set quite as deeply, nor set in quite the same manner.

Yeah, I think you're right there. I haven't really seen enough clear pictures or video to judge well based on what I've seen recently--and while I remember him from the Ruby in the Smoke movies, I don't have his face memorized.
