Two Undoubtedly Unwise Things

1. I made banana bread and about 5 dozen pumpkin cookies today, for reasons about which I'm not entirely clear. For someone trying to eat more healthily, this was probably not the best idea, especially since supper then consisted of two slices of banana bread and 5 cookies. I'm thinking of pawning most of them off on a neighbor, with a few left for Bob. 

2. I'm thinking of doing NaNoWriMo this year.

I'll bet your house smells amazing! I'm doing Nano this year. Hoping to get going on the rough draft of book 3 in my original fic series. What will you be writing?

You're right; the house does smell amazing, which helps when I feel guilty about making all those sweets at once. I did use monkfruit sweetener instead of regular sugar, and that hasn't affected the taste of the cookies or banana bread, so I tell myself that's another good thing about my baking frenzy.

When it comes to tackling Nano, I haven't the slightest idea; none at all. I have a couple of opening sentences in my head. I'll probably put one of those down and see where it takes me. That is, unfortunately, the way my writing operates. Still, Nano may help me with discipline, if nothing else.

Well, the baked goods tempted me, and I did eat. Which wasn't what I needed, just what I wanted. Oh, my poor diet!

Well, I am of the firm belief that occasionally diets need to be...forgotten momentarily...for them to be at all effective in the long run!

You're right; I'm just afraid that if I slip up too much, I won't get back on the horse again. Heh.
