Oh yeah, that goes without saying. But I'm glad you said it. Also, Villengard! First mentioned in The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances - by Moffat, of course - and the Doctor telling Jack that it was now a banana grove, courtesy of him.
He really hates war, and how it hits kids, (remember all the heartrending scenes of Gallifreyan families trying to protect their kids from the Daleks, in the Day of the Doctor) and how much adults love to make money off it.
I remember you being hit negatively by Kerblam! I confess, I was remarkably oblivious to the shortcomings of the plot. I'd have to revisit the episode to get a clearer feel for it today. (My obliviousness probably stemmed from how much I love Thirteen. Too often, we try to explain away the bad things those we love do, and I plead guilty wrt this episode.)
But I know the Doctor has always had a mistrust of commercialization and unchecked capitalism. In any of his incarnations, he reacts to those two things in big or small ways, depending on the situation. The Doctor never trusts them, and understands better than anyone how they almost inevitability lead to war.

Oh please don't, it's so depressing. The main point is: Amazon is good actually, and you should be glad to have a job at all!
