Dept. of Inarticulateness

AAAargh!!

I can't post - not about big things, nor about little things. F'list, I'm turning to you.

Ask me questions, and I'll answer them in posts. Ask me fannish questions, ask me about my life, about reporting, about my tastes in food or music, ask me the other answer to life, the universe, and everything (the one that isn't '42'), and I'll answer.

Or at least I'll do my best. And you'll have helped me get back into the posting habit.

A grateful kaffyr thanks you!

(And also thinks she should probably apologize if this seems pretty egocentric. So here's another idea. If you'd like, you could ask me for a fic. Name your characters, and some sort of setup - happy, sad, funny - and I'll try to write something. So, yeah, there's that option.)

No please, be egocentric. So let me ask you about reporting (high school journo here so very interested, if "journalism" is what you meant by "reporting".)

So what is "the other answer to life, the universe, and everything"? Tell us about your world-view.

Where was the first place you heard "Canadian Lady"? What was your reaction?

So, in my watching of Classic Who, I have been casually cataloguing Doctors based on traits that I find important. Like tinker-y-ness, introspection, and tendency to shed clothes (I've got a weakness for shirtsleeves). I've a vague notion of making a big chart when I'm done, because surely this is something the world needs. Name a quality that you find appealing or important in Doctors and rank as many Doctors as you can by this quality. Any way you feel like taking this is fine by me: classic and/or modern Doctors, a strict ranking system or something more loose (more tinker-y, middlingly tinker-y, not tinker-y), with supporting commentary or without.

What Other Elements should I do next? (In terms of making pretty tumblr things, or I suppose in terms of writing.) Or which Elements would you do next? Fancasting??

(It's not that I've come to the end of all the ones I had in mind for my tumblr series, honest. Well, a bit...)

ETA: Also would you like to know what was the subject of James Maxwell's father's thesis? Probably not, but I stumbled over some extra info on him yesterday and it was "A Financial History of Nova Scotia, 1848-99." :-D (Same article managed to call JM Jnr a Hollywood Actor, though, so some people don't know how to read or Google.)

Oh, but brain-eating is what fandom is here for! :-D

And I was asking about your element ideas, so your own versions of any I've thought about are still very cool (even if I am in the market for more to do pictures of as well). And fic!

But if you don't want to overlap, or want to comment on my wrong choices, the set can be found here.

So yes, I'm tickled to find that out!

:-D I had to tell you once I'd seen it!

1. Have you seen Letterkenny, and if you have, what do you think of it?

2. What can you say about what you like in music. Not just specific artists, but what kind of music moves you and why?

3. How did you meet Bob? (I do not need to ask why you married him, that part is completely obvious.)

On second thought, If you would prefer to write a short story, then maybe a tale, not of the three gentlemen named Richard, but rather of the barmaid who brought them cloths so they could clean up their own mess.

Excellent! I have always enjoyed a good rags to riches story.
