Awhile back, I was sniping that I didn't want to have top lay the perspective game; that my own misfortunes deserve to bitched about even though we all acknowledge their tiny stature next to some other peoples' troubles. At that point, I was saying, "Yes I know I'm better off than a woman in Darfur, looking for food for her family. But that doesn't strip me of the right to bitch over my own circumstances."
In this case, however, perspective is rather inescapable.
