Thanks - I started using "neo-Portuguese" in "Walk Out With Me to the Unknown Regions" and it became, in my head, the default language of the First Great and Bountiful Empire. I love the sound of Portuguese; it has a soft sibilance that is quite different - rounder, perhaps, and darker - from that of Spanish.
