I hate this episode, for all the reasons you state, but the bit that really stands out for me in its terribleness was the moment when Ten says he's scared and Martha just...I have no idea what Martha does in reaction actually because it fell so flat for me. This episode is the epitome of an episode where it felt like David and Freema was acting entirely past each other. Nobody fired on all cylinders, and it's just a disaster all around.
