Cat herding

This? is not gonna happen.

A third cat in the house, who's accomplished the feat of making BB and FB fall in love with her. And who's accomplished the larger task of us finding out her name. Jenny. Jenny Match, or Matchless Jenny. Or, sometimes, Jenny Lind.

FB rescued her from the outdoors, a thin little tortie who's even smaller than Opie. She was someone's pet once. And for a brief day she was someone's pet again. But the idiot didn't understand how long it takes to acclimate one cat to another. So I get a call at work...can we bring her in for a night and try to find a place for her? Why, yes. Yes, we can.

But the falling in love, and the name, and the caterwauling (because Torties always - always - share heart and throat with Siamese) and the Opie trauma, and the three cats in a 900 square foot basement condo with missing carpet and three humans?

OK, so sometimes I 'm so impressed with something that I want other people to experience it. And that's the way I feel about Teaspoon And An Open Mind, a web site I discovered about a year and eight months ago. It's the first fanfic outlet I've ever really visited, and I've been pretty blown over by a remarkable amount of the Doctor Who based fiction there. Yes, it's a site dedicated to all fics of a Whoish nature, from classic Who to Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures and beyond. And I've posted some stories there myself, but I assure you this is not - *not* - pimping me. Anyhow, if you're here , you're probably already familiar with the site, but just in case? (Having had a light go on, a clue-by-four hit my temple, an idea muscle its way into my head - namely, that I could Put My Fic On My LJ - I'm doing so. I first posted this on Teaspoon, but I'm rather partial to it, so here (under the cut, because I do not wish to cause hives of any sort for my fic-allergic friends) is a story about the Ninth Doctor, and the manner of his coming to be. I included the Teaspoon tease, seen above, because I liked it.
