james_nicoll) Happy Birthday on March 18th. He's one of the reasons I enjoy logging on to DW/LJ; I never know what will show up on his blog - cats, belligerent squirrels, insouciant comments on politics, fandom, memetic prophylactics and more - but I know I'll enjoy it. So, yeah - Happy Birthday!
(And also, although it's been a while since I've read his writings, I want to say happy birthday tomostlikely2. His writings - eloquent, elegant, image-rich, full of heart and wit and passion and frightening intelligence - were a large part of why I got back into fandom via online conversations sparked by his recaps of Doctor Who and Battlestar Galactica over at Television Without Pity. He deserves all the plaudits he gets and more. Happy 2014 to you.)
