Gorgeous write-up (though I wouldn't have expected any less from you) and I got a little bit of something in my eye reading it. I'm also impressed with you admitting that you write fic in print like that with your real name attached and everything.
I loved the little quotes and asides, the nice sum-up of the show, and the stories of people coming to watch. Like you say, everyone's got their own reason for loving this show, but it's something special for all of that love to unite people (in 94 countries!). It might be a bit silly, but the world could use a bit more of this kind of intellect and romance.
