Thanks for the kind words about my writing. Sometimes when your'e writing about something that's very important to you, the writing turns out fairly well.
And as you know, you and I will probably always be at friendly odds over our views of fanfic. I do tend to love playing Action Barbie with other people's creations; and as I am a bear of almost no true creative ambition, I am happy to do so.
I've met some of the nicest people via fandom, and some of the most interesting writers via fanfic; kerravonsen, who leapt to my defense, and who is quite as admirable as you, albeit in different ways, is one of them.
