The tornado was in the northside of town, where most of us don't live. Our friend Charmaine had a tree fall on a truck, and the tree was from her yard and a large one, but that's all I have heard of. I was out for the evening, and am just home, and now beginning to look for people's reports.
cowfan and I are fine, with no property damage. I hope those in the northern parts of the metro area who did have damage from this storm get it all repaired quickly.
I'm in Missouri, and at this point, there are 89 known dead in Joplin. I'm in St. Louis far away, but the last tornado about a month ago touched down by the airport. So far so good here. Time to donate to the Red Cross.
Oh lord, I've just finished reading about the Joplin tornado. What a godawful thing, especially on top of last month. Tornado alley has been particulary deadly this year, and the season isn't nearly done. Indeed, it's time to donate to the Red Cross.

Once again we learn that no good deed goes unpunished...
