Just A Quick Note ...


... to say I'm still  around. Just haven't had a lot of interesting things to say.  I've worked on a patio, seen two long term people at work get laid off, had the most amazing and pleasant dream about a metal-flaked green Testarossa that was bigger on the inside, gained a few pounds back, and have, in general, carried on carrying on.

That's the report from Casa kaffyr. More to come, eventually.

I'm home, for values of home that equal debgeisler and benveniste's home in Middleton, MA. I was amused and heart-touched to discover that spending a night here was a key part of emotionally being home, home again.

I am glad you are gaining weight. I am slowly losing it (which is a good thing). Hopefully there isn't a relationship between the two as I need to lose another 60-70 lbs and I suspect that may be a wee bit more than you might want.

Hurrah for your practical and healthy weight loss! I'd actually like to keep the weight off, too, but I need to replace some of the lost muscle tone. I'll figure out the golden mean one of these days.

Yeah, I know. Sometimes I wonder when I'll end up reporting that I've been diagnosed with St. Vitus Dance, that my son's been captured by gypsies and/or aliens (who weren't his mother) and that Bob's head has just gone into some sort of nuclear fission quadrille.

Heh. I can't help but be reminded of a favorite Firefly quotation (although honestly, which one isn't a favorite?): "Dear Diary, today I was pompous and my sister was crazy. Dear Diary, today I was kidnapped by hillfolk, never to be seen again. It was the best day ever."
