Yes indeed, although from what I'm hearing, the recovery varies from person to person. It probably depends on who your provider is, or where you are geographically, or how you get your internet. There are still folks down, I think, and LJ still isn't working without wonk for me now. How is it with you?
Less than super with a side of duper. Things take a loooong time to load and sometimes just don't. I get an occasional rather than a constant "about:blank" in the Re: line, whatever that means. Sometimes I can't get a reply to load. I'm in the St. Louis area. At a rough estimate, it's about 70% better. It must take these people days and days of effort just to make unpleasantness for others. Why? Sheer cussédness?
There are a lot of folks who do it for the sheer cussedness, and I find that very hard to understand myself. In this case, however, it may be a more understandable, if miserable, reason — the urge to politically censor free speech.
Hadn't thought of that. Sort of like Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 quote, "A book is a weapon in the house next door." But censorship, other is usually, and note I say usually since there are those who would prey upon minors, a slippery slope and all down hill.
