It's promethia_tenk 's birthday, and anyone who enjoys lively, thoughtful discussions about Doctor Who should rejoice that the universe has retained her excellent services for another year! Of course, she's also fun to talk to about almost anything, blessed as she is with a quick wit, a sense of the ridiculous, vast knowledge of humanity and a willingness to put up with those of us who get our alphabet soups all mixed up.

His . . . Four-ness? IDK, I tried watching several different Four serials as an intro to Classic Who. Figured I was just having problems with Classic Who.

Then I watched Three and discovered, nope, just didn't like Four.

He's a favorite for many people, possibly because he was their Very First Doctor. I don't mind him; there are episodes where Tom Baker's acting skills (he can do subtle anger and rage very well, when he's reined in) come to the fore (see whut ai did thar?), but I'm not emotionally tied to him. Three, I love. Nine, I love. Eleven, I love. Four? No. I respect, but that's it.

Can you break down what things it was about Four that you didn't like?

Oh, crossposting is second nature to me now, and part of the reason is because of folks like her. (Also because I prefer to post from DW in case LJ goes catawompus again, as happens far too often, but the good company is a primary reason.)

Crossposting is, as Kaffyr says, second nature after awhile. And pretty seamless too, once you're all set up: you just drift back and forth from Dreamwidth to LJ not thinking much about it.

Also Dreamwidth is looking more lovely and stable by the day, comparatively :-\

Thanks a lot, that's very nice of you! ^_^ I made sure my Dreamwidth and LJ accounts were connected for crossposting, so now I just have to think of popping to DW when I want to post next, lol. Plus I like my journal's look there. Matter of habit.

(By the way, I'm noticing nearly everyone who responded had to edit their comments; did you have to do it because the icon you chose for your response didn't show up initially? Did your default icon show up instead? It's been happening all day to me on LJ/off topic)
