I'm still processing, but one of the other things I get from this is "Oh. They didn't tell us this was going to be a three-parter."

I don't think it's actually a three-parter, but Santa Claus turning up during the credits like "Doctor, you and Clara are not happy. Let's fix this." definitely makes it feel like it is one.

That was more my reaction to the very end, just a bit sardonic more than anything. But I'm holding on to hope because I believe in the Moffat who doesn't let people die. I think he's going to break my heart more, but I'm going to hope I'm wrong.

Same here. Plus- it's a Christmas episode- I heavily doubt that Moffat would pull something similar to 'Voyage of the Damned' on Christmas.

As I told masakochan elsewhere, I'm going to trust the Moff I know, the one who tries, generally successfully, to save everyone. I'm undoubtedly opening myself to heartbreak that way, but it's the only way I know how to roll.

Neither am I. At first I thought the the Cyberman who saved Kate was our favorite fan stand-in. Glad it was who it was, but I want MOAR SALVATION!

I think, with Steven Moffat, I wouldn't rule it out. Let's see what Father Christmas brings us... :-)

Spooks did have a tendency to kill off, well, everyone, yes. :-) (They're making a film now & we were discussing who could reappear in it, and everyone was like, um, who's left alive?? :lol:)
