Happy, Happy, to Many, Many

It's been quite the week; quite the non-communicative week. But it's Friday, BB and I are about two hours away from heading out to the Beat Kitchen to hear FB and his first band get back together for a 15-year reunion show - yes, it's a midnight show, and yes, we know we're too damned old for this sort of thing, but we're doing it anyway ... and it's time to catch up with the lovely people I know who have had a number of birthdays over the last little while. 

Happy birthday, to rmjwell , ex-Chicagoan, who I expect is watching the first came of the Cubs v Giants tonight; he's a very wise man, a connoisseur of burlesque, a dad, and a fan - quite the package! He celebrated a birthday on Oct. 4, and I hope the birthday was wonderful. (I also hope he gets a great World Series birthday, but I'm not going to jinx anything by saying any more.)

Happy birthday to supergee , another very wise man. There are some very, very, very rare occasions where I don't agree with you. Very, very, very rare (and almost always in terms of musical tastes). I am lucky to know someone who is funny, smart, perceptive, and kind. I hope your birthday, which took place Oct. 6, was a good one, and I hope the coming year is a good one for you. 

Speaking of kind and smart, the lovely heatherbelles also celebrated on Oct. 6. She is a scholar of history, a specialist in museum displays, a Dr. Who fan, a gardener, and a totally worthwhile human being. You're not often around here, but I hope you know that I'm wishing you a delayed birthday; I am very glad I met you over on TWoP, and maybe, once I win that Great Big Lottery, I can cross the pond and meet you in person!

I lurk more on FB, and comment on other peoples rather than post myself.

I had a lovely birthday, and if I too win the Great Big Lottery, then there will be crossings of the ponds and visits indeed.

Your musical tastes are impeccable. They simply stop at a point beyond which I keep going. And who's to say that what I enjoy past that point is actually quality? I like it, but that might mean little.
