ljgeoff — it's been my delight to come to know you at least a little over the past few months. You're an excellent writer, (and you take editing suggestions, which impresses an old editor like whoah!), you appear to have have endless patience in real life, and a wonderful sense of both family and fun. I know you'll meet your 2010 education goals brilliantly, handle the move with equanimity, and perhaps we'll be able to get together again, without all that hotel hoo-hah!
