Of the Utmost Import
Run, don't walk, to see this if:
1) You're a Who fan;
2) You're a Who fan who admires attempts to explore the show's considerable ambiance, and appreciates its mastery of mise-en-scene;*
3) You're a Who fan who doesn't, perhaps, enjoy the command of ridiculous canon risible you might wish.
Clicky!
* What? Oh, mise-en-scene? I haven't the slightest idea what it means.

Date: Saturday, 18 October 2008 03:51 am (UTC)Experts disagree on the exact meaning of this expression, though they all acknowledge that it has to do with the state of mind of the Captain Kangaroo cartoon cat "Mr. Jinx", whose catch phrase was "I hate you meeces to pieces!", referring to the lead characters Pixie & Dixie, q.v.
1) Meece on-scene (this would mean that Mr Jinx ought to be hatin')
2) A corruption of "Meece unseen" (this would mean Mr Jinx is blissfully unaware of any meeces and thus ought to be in a good mood).
Authorities have been hitting each other over the head with anvils and lead pipes that bend into the shape of whatever they strike for decades over this issue. The controversy appears to be no closer to resolution than it ever was.
For the Cartoon Network, this has been MMB.

(Did you guys really get Pixie, Dixie and Jinx on Captain Kangaroo? We usually got him on the Huckleberry Hound show. Maybe on Firehouse Frolics, too. Ah. Well, then.)
