This Is What Success Looks Like ...

When you've successfully tracked down a workaround that lets you host pictures in Google Drive and get an embed code allowing you to embed a picture on DW/LJ, or anywhere, for that matter. w00t!!1! (But if you want to use Google Photo, you should probably do any resizing and editing on your own hard drive before uploading the picture you want to embed, rather than try to edit it online. It's easier that way.)

Anyhow - take that, Photobucket! I'm much happier paying a little extra to Google for extra space.

I'm really pleased I found this. I'm far happier paying Google for anything than Photobucket, and since I already pay a little each month for extra storage space, that covers it. Now I just have to decide which items to download from my Photobucket account; most pictures I already have on my hard drive but there are a few that are only on that site, so I'll migrate them to my hard drive and there's an end to it.
