Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays!
     Happy birthday and even happier physics-rich musical experimentation to beamjockey  , the only ukulele player I know to have planted himself, supine, on the floor at the center of a geodesic dome in downtown Minneapolis, to enjoy the sounds his ukulele made in concert with said geodesic dome. Much happy physics, ballroom dancing, and good life to you in the next year!
    And a belated birthday wish to a young man I've never met, buttonfish  . I may never have met him, but I've seen his smile, and I know how loved he is, by mom, dad, and friends. May your year be filled with love and joy, little one.

It's spelled "ukulele." (Note that in addition to having done professional proofreading, I have done some gigs with a guy who plays one. Johnny Pineapple and his Waikiki Wildcats, Cannonball Paul and the Gandy Dancers -- same leader and pretty much the same group of musicians.)

Much better, thank you. This would have been the closest I ever came to needing to go to a hospital emergency room, but very relieved to find out after all the x-rays that the meds I was prescribed actually worked. I should probably let my LJ friends as a group know that I am doing better. (Today will be my first full day of work in about ten days, just for instance.)

I didn't know that misspelling "ukulele" could send someone to the hospital. I probably killed off several Usenet correspondents before I learned the correct spelling. Will be much more careful in the future.
