So This Happened 

Wondering why you've not heard from me in the last couple of days?

Wonder no more.

(Brief explanation because typing one-handed with your secondary hand is a pain; wrist, meet sidewalk, courtesy of crack ambushing sneaker. Doctor doesn't think it's broken, but wants a second set of X-rays next Thursday, to make sure one hasn't developed. Happened Wednesday night, yesterday was doc's office and loads of pain. Today's been a bit better.)

So there you have it. Do I know how to have fun, or what?

Ouch! Take your time recovering. Do not try and respond to my reaction post about Ingress the Animation until you're feeling better. The guilt picturing you typing a response one-handed with your secondary hand would be too much for me. x_x

Oh, sorry! *Facepalm.* The subject line is just "This and That," because the reaction is the "This" and my latest health thing is the "That." It's the most recent post in my LJ. I haven't even gotten it imported to DW yet.

I just read it, and I'm so glad you liked it, even if our love for characters wasn't 100 percent the same. I will try to comment over there, once my ability to type gets better.

Glad you found it! I was hoping you'd appreciate the degree to which I enjoyed it, even if it wasn't exactly the same as yours. I will add two things here you can also try to comment on if you wish once your ability to type gets better.

1) I might not feel comfortable enough with Jack to try to write him, however, I not only TOTALLY see the OT3, but if I can figure out how to screengrab it, I have a favorite OT3 moment to try and turn into an icon.
2) I really appreciated that they did some world building for viewers who've never played the game. Like you, I went in with no knowledge of the game, and I know from experience with other stories inspired by/based on games they might not have bothered to lay the world out for the uninitiated. They could've assumed only players were going to watch, and they'd know how the world worked. Their taking the time to do the world-building not only made me feel more grounded in the story but allowed me to enjoy the meta of them having people playing the game in their world.

Much appreciated. I'm discovering how few pieces of clothing I currently have with sleeves that allow unimpeded access to a cast, even a soft one like mine. None of my long-sleeved shirts, and only a few tee shirts.

ouch! That happened to my dad's girlfriend over the summer. She fell on a concrete step and broke both her wrist and her ankle on the same side :(

Thanks for the gentle hug; it's much appreciated. And I think I shall enjoy the article as well. (I have a reading list that now appears to be increasing exponentially, but I promise I'll get to everything!

And I'm enjoying the Paris Review piece, although I'm not fully completed.
